Description

We’re looking for a forward-thinking Web Developer, Customer Experoences to help shape the future of scalable, intelligent digital experiences. We are a niche team embedded within Microsoft’s Marketing organization, responsible for web operations across 30+ commercial digital sites serving thousands of pages globally. This role is primarily UI-focused (User Interface focused) and ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of design, AI (Artificial Intelligence), and enterprise web technology. You’ll be working in a high-impact team at Microsoft, building robust, scalable UI (User Interface) solutions that integrate with backend APIs, content systems, and data platforms.

Develop modern, scalable UI components using Web Components and the latest web standards, with an effective know-how of OOTB (out-of-the-box) solutions over custom builds.Collaborate with design teams; translate Figma prototypes into high-quality, production-ready code.Contribute to the evolution of a shared design system serving global audiences across diverse markets and languages.Drive execution working with large vendor teams - providing technical direction, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring quality.Leverage AI tools and agents (e.g., OpenAI APIs, prompt orchestration) to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.Integrate with backend APIs (Application Programming Interface) and data services; ensure seamless front-end/back-end connectivity.Contribute to CMS (Content Management Systems) driven experiences, primarily Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe DAM (Data Asset Management).Implement analytics tagging, performance monitoring, and A/B testing strategies.Stay current with UI/UX trends, web platform innovations, and performance optimization techniques.Embody our culture and values.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.2+ years of hands-on experience working with marketing web technologies and enterprise-level content management systems (e.g., AEM, Sitecore) for customer-facing websites.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.4+ years of experience in modern web development using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Web Components.3+ years of experience using Figma and building UI from centralized design systems.2+ years of hands-on experience with AI agent frameworks, LLM (Large Language Models) based tools, or prompt engineering workflows.2+ years of familiarity with Adobe Experience Cloud technologies, including AEM (Adobe Experience Manager - Sites/Assets), Adobe Workfront, Adobe Analytics, Target, EDS (Edge Delivery Systems), and Launch/Tag Manager.Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
