Description

We are One Engineering System (1ES) - a part of Developer Services in Microsoft's Cloud and Application Infrastucture (C+AI) division. Microsoft is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the development and implementation of engineering system standards, drive the Secure Future Initiative, and manage day-to-day business operations for the 1ES team. This role is critical in ensuring the efficiency, security, and consistency of Microsoft’s engineering systems across all product lines. The ideal candidate will have a technical background, exceptional program management skills, and a deep understanding of engineering best practices. Develop, implement, and maintain engineering system standards that ensure consistency, quality, and security across all Microsoft products.Collaborate with engineering teams across Microsoft to align standards with best practices and emerging technologies.Communicate program status, risks, and issues to senior leadership and stakeholders, providing actionable insights and recommendations.Mentor and guide other program managers and team members, fostering a collaborative and team culture.Define success criteria and create relationships for implementing features for complex cross-functional projects.Coordinate and ensure alignment across organizations.Deliver on roadmap for multiple feature groups, track project schedules, develop staging and implementation plan, and manage governance programs.



Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product developmentOR equivalent experience.2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis,OR product developmentOR equivalent experience.6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
