Description

Microsoft’s Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) team builds and operates Microsoft datacenters, which in turn powers Microsoft’s cloud business. The CO+I Engineering team (CO+IE) delivers services, applications, and automation supporting datacenter planning, construction, and operation. We own a large portfolio of services, including workflows that enable predictable, lowest cost datacenter construction, telemetry systems that drive high availability and optimized energy usage, and task and performance management applications that help our operation run as efficiently as possible. The Security Engineering & Critical Infrastructure (SECI) team is focused on delivering security and critical environments technology services across the datacenter delivery and maintenance lifecycle. In this role you will drive technology outcomes by leading the end-to-end delivery of IT and critical environments infrastructure projects that improve security across our global portfolio. As Technical Program Manager, you will partner closely with your colleagues, engineering, and infrastructure teams, and key decision makers across CO+I to develop in class network infrastructure for high security networks in datacenters and into space.

*This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Washington, D.C., Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ.

*Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates will need to relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location.

*This role is eligible for remote work up to 100%.

Partner with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, finance, and business development to identify risks and opportunities.Develop strategies and execution plans to deliver against published Objective Key Results (OKRs).Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines for datacenter infrastructure projects.Be the functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) between regional leadership and key stakeholder teams to communicate progress, challenges, risks, and opportunities.Continuously evaluate and refine existing processes and workflows to streamline operations and improve efficiency.Ability to think logically; problem solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.Embody our Culture and Values



Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.1+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Experience in planning and delivering core infrastructure projects to support critical environment such as physical security, electronic power and maintenance, and building automation.

Experience in applying industry standard project and program management methodologies and disciplines to increase efficiency and scalability.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred/Additional Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis,

OR product development

OR equivalent experience.

3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Previous datacenter exposure/experience with operations, planning, and engineering.

Experience solving problems by leading with passion and empathy for customers.

Attention to detail and high commitment to accuracy and auditing.

Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
