Description

Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the organization behind building the Microsoft cloud. Within CO+I, the CO+I Engineering team is responsible for delivering engineering ecosystem for the datacenter capacity delivery and operation for Microsoft’s cloud. Inside of CO+I Engineering, Central Program Management and Design (CPMD) is the centralized PM and Design organization driving product strategy, roadmap and, along with the engineers, delivering the products and services to support Microsoft cloud growth.

We are looking for a Pricipal Technical Program Manager that will drive software solutions for lease supply demand management transformation and lease portfolio management. You will work with business stakeholders to define to-be business processes and business requirements. You will deliver engineering specification to the software development team and ensure the programs are successfully delivered with desired business outcome. You should have knowledge and past experience in delivering distributed systems, as well as working with cross function business stakeholders.

You’ll also identify risks and propose data-based mitigations.You’ll establish benchmarks for success and forge partnerships to execute features within intricate, multifaceted projects.You will deliver on roadmap for multiple feature groups, track project schedules, develop staging and implementation plan, and manage governance programs.You will drive continuous improvements by validating use cases and writing test cases from scratch. You’ll also lead teams to partner with other departments to collect performance metrics, drive customer support, and lead direct customer engagements.Embody our Culture and Values



Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, product development, or tools developmentOR equivalent experience.3+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred/Additional Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in product/program managementMS in Computer Science is a plus

Data-driven mind-set. Ability to mine data and persuade your team using effective analysis

Experience in leading agile and incremental delivery teams.

Passionate about Coaching, Mentoring and Caring for the team with modeling Diverse and Inclusive behaviorConfident, takes ownership, willingness to “do what it takes” to get the job done with proven experience leading complex programs/initiatives to successful completion.

Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
