The Windows Commercial Technical Program Manager sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, and scale. This role translates CSS high‑impact strategy opportunities across the global Windows Commercial support ecosystem and turns them into structured, measurable programs that accelerate outcomes for customers and the business. Partnering closely with support delivery leaders, product engineering, CSS business and communications teams, the TPM translates executive priorities into clear goals, roadmaps, and success metrics, ensuring strategic initiatives are executed consistently and efficiently across regions and technology area. Acting as a force multiplier for senior leaders, this role enables executives to sponsor bold programs with confidence, while the TPM drives orchestration, dependency management, and KPI‑driven delivery at scale.
This role is also on the front lines of AI adoption within Windows Commercial. The TPM leads the integration of AI as a personal productivity tool, a modern program management capability, and a foundational enabler for how the global support organization plans, delivers, and iterates. By embedding AI into workflows, telemetry, and decision‑making, the role helps teams move faster, surface deeper insights, and continuously improve quality and customer outcomes. Just as importantly, this TPM helps the organization build the muscle to embrace AI at every level, guiding teams through change, scaling best practices, and ensuring AI is applied responsibly, securely, and with clear business impact.

Responsibilities
Analysis of Customer and Business NeedsIdentifies complex opportunities and gaps within a product or multiple functional areas (e.g., product, service, systems). May lead internal and/or external customer or stakeholder engagements to solicit feedback and understand their experiences with MicrosoftÂ’s products and services. Translates the needs of the organization and other teams into program goals and prioritized deliverables based on data-focused analysis and aligns them with the overarching organizational strategy and key stakeholder needs. Engages in risk management (proactive and reactive) to identify risks and propose mitigations. Uses data (e.g., telemetry, usage, net satisfaction, customer satisfaction) and tools (e.g., artificial intelligence, automation) to build more informed risk mitigation plans.Defines success criteria and performance metrics (e.g., objectives and key results [OKRs], key performance indicators [KPIs] such as quality and performance) for programs, solutions, services, or integrated systems across functional areas. Required/minimum qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.Other requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional or preferred qualifications
