Overview

The CO+I AI Delivery team is focused on delivering various platform services to our global AI customers. This role will require deep partnership throughout all of Microsoft as these programs will be on the leading edge of innovation and will include driving pilots and other experiments that shape our ongoing commitment to deliver AI platform services rapidly at cloud scale. We are part of Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I), the team behind one of the world’s largest cloud infrastructures, responsible for powering all Microsoft online products and services as well as powering Microsoft’s “Cloud First” mission. CO+I is focused on growth, efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide.

We are seeking a highly capable Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive AI Deployment Acceleration across complex, large scale environments. In this role, you will own and orchestrate end to end technical programs that accelerate the delivery of AI compute, platforms, and services—from concept through production at global scale. You will operate at the intersection of infrastructure, hardware, software platforms, and operations, working closely with engineering, supply chain, data center, and business stakeholders to reduce cycle time, eliminate blockers, and deliver AI capacity faster and more predictably. This role requires strong technical depth, operational rigor, and the ability to influence across organizational boundaries without direct authority.

Responsibilities

Owns end-to-end cloud data center supply strategy and execution, ensuring capacity availability, scalability, and delivery readiness aligned to cloud and AI demand (CPU/GPU). Operates independently across highly complex, cross-organizational initiatives, translating demand signals into executable supply and infrastructure plans.

Define strategy and success by setting program goals, OKRs/KPIs, and prioritized deliverables for multi-product cloud supply planning programs. Translate demand forecasts and business requirements into integrated, future-proof supply solutions in partnership with engineering, construction, operations, and finance. Proactively identify risks, evaluate tradeoffs, and deliver data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.Own end-to-end execution of cloud data center supply planning programs aligned to cloud and AI workload demand (CPU/GPU). Independently scope initiatives, structure workstreams, define milestones and critical paths, and drive execution across highly complex, cross-organizational environments.Drive execution rigor and alignment by running structured programs and execution reviews, establishing clear operating rhythms, and enforcing accountability. Communicate status, risks, gaps, tradeoffs, and required decisions with clarity to executive stakeholders, serving as the primary execution liaison between technical teams and business leaders.Partner across engineering and the ecosystem to align technical requirements, designs, and standards with supply planning and delivery timelines. Coordinate cross-org execution to resolve blockers, ensure delivery readiness, and reliably support business growth targets. Lead strategic workshops to align on assumptions, scenarios, and execution plans.Measure and improve performance by monitoring telemetry, KPIs, and AI-driven insights to assess program health and outcomes. Form hypotheses, run experiments, and iterate to improve time-to-market, reliability, scalability, and ROI. Share best practices and raise execution maturity across teams.Build durable planning capabilities by owning core supply planning artifacts (execution plans, roadmaps, status reporting, leadership updates). Drive simplification, standardization, and automation of planning processes to improve predictability, agility, and execution velocity, fostering strong long-term internal and external partnerships.Embody our culture and values.

Required/minimum qualifications

Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
