Azure Reliability is driving transformation to AI-powered operations by building scalable ML infrastructure that enables autonomous, reliable, and secure cloud systems. We are looking for candidates that can combine deep technical expertise in MLOps with a proven ability to deliver measurable business impact through continuous learning, policy-driven governance, and responsible AI practices. Success in this role means advancing operational autonomy, quality, and security, while fostering collaboration and accountability across teams.

Responsibilities

Integrate readiness systems across all partner teams to ensure workflows, documentation, onboarding, and learning operate as one coherent system.Own the end-to-end roadmap for learning, onboarding, enablement, cultural mechanisms, and signals—driving quarterly commitments, dependencies, and measurable progress.Translate AI platform patterns into durable engineering systems, including Copilot workflows, agents, diagnostics, documentation automation, and on-the-job AI scenarios.Lead the creation and maintenance of MOUs across pillars to define responsibilities, remove ambiguity, and standardize cross-team collaboration.Simplify and integrate the team's work into the org’s operating rhythm, eliminating ROB collisions and aligning training and onboarding with business cadence.Define and operationalize role-specific AI adoption pathways, ensuring AI use becomes natural, expected, and embedded in day-to-day engineering work.Embed organizational health and Employee Signals into the readiness system, turning sentiment insights into action loops that guide priorities and system improvements.Establish consistent leadership norms and cultural mechanisms that reinforce psychological safety, system-first communication, and clear expectations for experimentation.Represent STAR in technical and operational forums, influencing senior engineers, TLs, and directors, and ensuring readiness systems align with architectural direction and reliability expectations.

Qualifications

Require Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience leveraging AI and automation to improve engineering workflows, operational systems, or program execution at scale. Ability to reason about AI capabilities, limitations, and risk, and to translate platform innovations (e.g., copilots, agentic systems, intelligent automation) into durable, governed systems adopted across teams.#AzRelJobs #EngOps

Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
