Description
The Foundations Team is responsible for reliability (live site and HADR-High Availability and Disaster Recovery), security, risk management, and compliance for the Xbox Experiences & Platform (Xbox XP) organizations. This team provides tools, reporting, automation, and consultation to the engineers and program/product managers across Xbox XP. The Foundations Team creates and delivers products and processes that support engineers across the organization but does not ship features or products that are externally available. This team is looking for an experienced Principal Technical Program Manager to support hundreds of engineers who in turn support millions of XBOX gamers.As a Principal Technical Program Manager, you will effectively communicate with stakeholders of all different levels and disciplines across the gaming organization (and beyond) to ensure that products are reliable, secure, and compliant. Create, prioritize, and deliver on the roadmap for automations, tools, and reporting to support engineering fundamentals across Xbox XP.Create and communicate scenarios/deliverables within the context of those roadmaps and engage in the quarterly planning exercises to support them.Drive clarity and enable our team by defining objective success criteria for highly complex cross-functional projects.Create and track dependencies to enable cohesive, connected scenarios, and identify potential risk areas and escalate appropriately.Work across the immediate team to create a suite of monthly and quarterly communications that demonstrate and evangelize the work of the Fundamentals organization.Other

Required/Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product developmentOR equivalent experience.3+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.4+ years of experience with data querying languages such as KQL, SQL, Scope, etc.5+ years of experience in reliability, security, and/or data analytics for fundamentals / engineering excellence.Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product developmentOR equivalent experience.8+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).Experience with Powershell or similar scripting language.Experience with the Power Platform and/or Logic Apps.Experience working with executive/LT audiences down to core engineering audiences delivering the same message in different ways as needed to different audiences.8+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.People management experience.Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
