The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. As a Principal Technical Program Manager you will need deep expertise in continuous improvement strategies and AI applications. You will build leadership skills as you engage, influence, and drive momentum with senior leaders and across the organization. You will deliver measurable impact by collaborating across the organization.

As a Principal Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

You will serve as the LEAN Six Sigma lead for the divisionYou will identify complex opportunities and gaps across multiple product and service feature areas, then collaborate with other departments to evaluate opportunity, define solution options, and come up with a roadmap.You will partner with engineers, architects, business and data scientists to discover groundbreaking solutions. You’ll also identify risks and propose data-based mitigations.You’ll establish benchmarks for success and forge partnerships to execute features within intricate, multifaceted projects.You will deliver on roadmap for multiple feature groups, track project schedules, develop staging and implementation plan, and contribute to governance programs.You will drive continuous improvements by validating research and writing solutions. You’ll also lead teams to partner with other departments to collect performance metrics.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, product development, or tools developmentOR equivalent experience.3+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

4+ years people management experience6+ years of Lean experienceOther Requirments

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

Lean, Business Process Management Professional, Change Management (e.g., Prosci), Six Sigma, and/or Agile certifications10+ years of experience in product/program managementMS in Computer Science is a plusData-driven mind-set. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
