Description
Do you love working with customers and partners to achieve their business outcomes? In this role, the main goal is to support Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) build well architected applications across the Microsoft tech stack, publish those applications to the Microsoft Commercial Marketplace, and grow their business leveraging the marketplace’s ecommerce platform and capabilities. You will sit within an entrepreneurial and high-performing team at the center of one of Microsoft’s top initiatives and – with the aid of best-in-class sales processes, techniques, and technologies – be empowered to shape relationships with ISVs.As the Technical Program Manager, Independent Software Vendor Lead for ISV Technical & Business Engagement, you will lead our vendor technical team globally, which serves as the technical point of contact for the ISV helping them build, publish, and grow their applications on the marketplace. Backed by the Global Demand Center’s digital go-to-market engines. This senior role will partner closely with our ISV Journey and Marketplace teams as well as engineering, marketing, partners, finance, and legal across Microsoft.
B2B Solution Sales Leadership: Lead and guide the team in building scalable, extensible B2B Customer solutions, with a strong focus on cloud environments and marketplace selling. Technical Team Leadership: Manage and coach a high-performing technical team to deliver subject matter expertise, develop repeatable IP solutions, and drive continuous improvement. Technical Problem-Solving: Oversee the refinement of technical enablement strategies, solving complex technical challenges to support business goals and deliver value. ISV Advocacy: Represent the voice of ISVs by identifying industry trends, gathering feedback, and addressing blockers to optimize ISV onboarding, time to market, and profitability. Customer-Centric Approach: Foster a culture of customer and partner obsession by continuously improving processes to provide a world-class experience for ISVs and marketplace buyers. Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead global, cross-functional virtual teams, managing diverse priorities and building collaborative technology and programmatic solutions. Functional Management & Coaching & Operational Excellence: Manage vendor teams, driving strategic coaching and engagement to ensure long-term business success. Results Driven: Track record of delivering impactful business results, with experience driving revenue/target-driven outcomes.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product developmentOR equivalent experience2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projectsExperience as a technical architect, with technical consulting, design, and implementation, and/or technical salesAdditional or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), Engineering product/technical program management, data analysis, or product developmentOR equivalent experience6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos)Ability to generate trust, build alliances, and orchestrate interdisciplinary teams to the benefit of ISVs required. Thought leader with executive presence, including the ability to hold CxO and BDM level discussions Motivated by ISV success and strong cross business collaboration requiredUnderstanding of Cloud Platforms and the ability to engage with ISV technical leadership as a trusted adviserHave one of the following Associate Certifications: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate Certified, or Azure Administrator Certified, or prepared to attain certification within 3 monthsAbility to identify new technical and business trends and needs and serves as the customer's voice into MicrosoftExperience leading virtual teamsRelevant certifications from Microsoft or competitive platforms
Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
