As we drive to be the leading cloud platform in the world, Azure Core Trusted Platform team is looking for an exceptional Technical Program Manager II to define the vision, strategy, and the roadmap for Azure Services to drive customers’ adoption of Microsoft Azure by connecting our technical experience, along with our customers’ vision and challenges directly to the engineering product teams, and as a result help to ensure Azure is the most compelling solution on the market.

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager II with technical and analytical skills, having a passion for driving great technology designs in partnership with local and remote teams. You will help with Azure platform security and safety programs focused on getting Azure services to adhere to our security and safety standards and meet our customer, regulatory and strategic requirements.You will partner with various engineering teams across Azure to deliver the tools, features and capabilities necessary to meet security and safety requirements and controls.Under supervision you will help coordinate cross-team efforts to drive engineering solutions to technical challenges and deliver quality solutions to committed schedules and project plans. You will help define success criteria and performance metrics (OKRs, KPIs etc.) for your programs and work with your teams to track and report on execution against these regularly.You will help others as they design technical solutions. You will also identify risks, escalating them to senior levels when needed.Based on success criteria, you’ll help others develop and implement features for cross-functional projects. You’ll begin to understand how to collaborate and ensure alignment across teams.Embody our Culture and Values

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.1+ year(s) of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.2 + years prior experience in security practices and platform security concepts, good understanding of defense-in-depth for managing enterprise security and familiarity with software development tools and techniques, DRI workflows and understanding of mitigation, change management flows, techniques and scenarios.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.

1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).2+ years of experience in cloud environment, managing programs/products is a plus Good experience of engineering practices and engaging with engineering teams so that you can express and drive new feature requirements in Azure. with ability to leverage telemetry and diagnostics to derive insights that add value to our program.

Effective interpersonal, communication, collaboration skills & situational awareness

Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
