We are looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager - Azure Security at Microsoft and play a pivotal role in defining security program management objectives that maximize short, medium, and long-term cybersecurity posture improvements, and reduce the overall residual cybersecurity risk for the Azure stack. This person will aim to attain Program Management Excellence and in doing so will build approaches that harness the feedback, knowledge, and power of our partner teams and the broader engineering community to improve Azure cloud cybersecurity, and to develop our team.
As a Principal Technical Program Manager - Azure Security, you will also have opportunity leading the development and implementation of cutting-edge security solutions and processes to enable customers and developers in designing and building innovative secure cloud services and solutions.

- Driving for security first and security by default: take a pivotal part of the moving security work to "start right" and "stay right", through various mechanisms such as policy orchestration, security by default access control and management, code analysis, standard SDK and library adaptation, and additional methods to shift left of the security enforcement for a better overall posture.
- Defining both the short term and long term strategies and goals for ensuring critical systems and platforms within Microsoft Cloud are improved with improved and durable security postures.
- Orchestrating and driving collaboration among multiple teams and organizations: drive collaboration programs and projects across security and product teams, and across multiple disciplines including security PM, engineering, architecture, and governance.
- Monitoring the outcome and drive for the needed key results: ensure the right OKRs are in place and align with all stakeholders to drive towards the same goal for improving our cybersecurity posture for the Azure cloud platform.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product developmentOR equivalent experience.6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.Other Qualifications:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product developmentOR equivalent experience.10+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).Knowledge of security by default design Technical Program Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $161,600 - $286,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $209,600 - $314,400 per year.
