Overview

Redefine the way Help and How-to videos are built for Microsoft 365 products and services for hundreds of millions of customers. As digital learning accelerates, creating impactful video content is more vital than ever to drive customer adoption of AI. As a Technical Producer, you’ll join the Content Excellence Video team -- a group focused on generating videos that empower customers to master new technologies and spark curiosity -- and play a key role in helping to pioneer a new way of producing visual materials.

This role fuses creative production, design thinking, and technical fluency into a single builder mindset. You’ll use AI tools to create agentic solutions -- meaning AI-powered agents or automated workflows such as prompts, no/low‑code automations, or scripted integrations -- to automate tasks like script writing, asset assembly, screen capture, metadata tagging, and publishing.

Responsibilities

In partnership with senior team members, help design and deliver short task videos from concept through final delivery, ensuring they meet quality, accessibility, and publishing standards.Research and leverage AI tools (e.g., LLM‑based script generators, avatar video platforms like Synthesia, AI editing assistants, and generative media tools) and automation workflows to securely speed up production and improve consistency.Collaborate with product teams, designers, engineers, and content teams on frameworks and toolkits that enable others to produce high‑quality videos.Test and experiment to validate hypotheses and iterate quickly based on metrics and feedback.Share and socialize learnings and results with Microsoft's larger video and learning communities.Codify best practices and publish internal playbooks.Document and maintain secure workflows, with commitment to data classification and handling of sensitive information in accordance with Microsoft’s guidelines

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree AND 4+ years’ experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product developmentOR equivalent experience.2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.4+ years of program management experience delivering user-facing products and services.Experience with no‑code/low‑code automation and basic scripting for pipeline tasks, working and latest AI modelsDemonstrated cross- functional team delivery for application or website experience.Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience with technical concepts, including the ability to write complex queries, build dashboards, and implement workflow automation.Experience using AI tools in creative workflows (e.g., LLM‑based script generation, generative media, AI editing assists).Familiarity with AI video and automation platforms (e.g., Clipchamp, Synthesia, Descript, Runway, or similar).

Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
