As a security program manager, you’ll leverage your deep understanding of security tools and practices to develop scalable programs that ensure Microsoft’s products and services are secure. You’ll work with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders across different teams to understand their security challenges and help your team identify the most important work to reduce risk to Microsoft and its customers. You will partner with security engineers building security tools and automation that help secure Microsoft products and services. Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements for security tooling, automation, and policy. Regularly communicate with a broad set of stakeholders to drive alignment about security priorities and roadmaps. Build trusted relationships that enable teams to move quickly and securely. - Gather data from diverse sources to drive decision making and risk mitigation strategies. Utilize AI/ML technologies to efficiently analyze data and effectively communicate complex ideas. - Understand new cybersecurity regulations and coordinate with partner teams on policy alignment and regulatory readiness. Integrate compliance requirements into prioritization and development roadmaps for security tools and automation. - Collaborate closely with security engineers building security tools and automation. - Contribute to the core engineering security requirements (including the Security Development Lifecycle), ensuring they stay relevant as technologies and development methodologies change over time.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.1+ year(s) of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional or preferred qualifications Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience. 4+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
