Mixed Reality is hiring a Senior Technical Hardware Program Manager.

As a Senior Technical Hardware Program Manager, you will be responsible for all facets of program management throughout the development cycle. This includes creating business opportunity proposals, statements of work (SOWs), leading development partner selection, and management of development from specification through development build and testing. Throughout the program you will manage schedules, budgets, do resource planning, and provide an environment enabling efficient execution and collaboration across Microsoft and partner development teams. You will be responsible for scoping development programs, driving decisions for feature sets and capabilities as well as providing status and recommendations to immediate and executive level management.

Lead the Systems Engineering Program Management activities for future devices, including planning and creating schedules and budget, from gathering product requirements and customer alignment to prototype and engineering builds.Drive alignment in cross-functional teams across multiple geographical locations, including mechanical, electrical, sensors, and display engineering.Manage supplier engagements from end-to-end for critical system level components, from initial supplier selection and SOW creation to delivery of components within schedule and forecast budget.Collaborate with Reliability and Validation partner teams, to ensure robust design that meets product requirements, influencing prioritization and debugging to align with product requirements and specifications.Generate clarity by identifying and defining issues and constraints, distilling data, establishing facts and drawing conclusions, and driving to closure and ensuring solid root cause understanding.Communicate complex issues and trade-offs to development partners and management.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product developmentOR equivalent experience.2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.Experience gathering product requirements and managing suppliers in a product development role.Experience working with systems engineering in product development or systems architecture development or similar experience.Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product developmentOR equivalent experience.6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).4+ years experience in Hardware Program Management with a product development teamExperience identifying problem areas, driving issues to closure and ensuring solid root cause understandingTechnical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
