Description
The Business Acceleration Solutions (BAS) team is Microsoft’s high-impact Specialist Team (ST) leading the next wave of enterprise transformation—powered by AI.Our mission is to guide customers from legacy CRM and ERP systems to AI powered Autonomous capabilities powered by Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Copilot Studio, accelerating outcomes through Role-Based Copilots and Intelligent Agents. We combine deep industry expertise with deep product knowledge to help customers realize the full potential of AI powered Autonomous Dynamics 365 — from embedded agents in every business workflow to standalone agent platforms that drive competitive advantage.
We are looking for a Principal Technical Architect to join our team.
BAS is the execution engine for Microsoft’s most strategic growth ambitions, transforming vision into impact and AI into revenue.
This role will drive the acceleration of our strategic growth programs — positioning Copilot Studio as the enterprise agent platform of choice and accelerating Dynamics 365 application suite. The Technical Architect will be responsible for driving the AI accelerate program and adoption of intelligent agents in every major BAS ST deal.

Provide thought-leadership and architectural guidance/reviews on strategic Dynamics 365 ERP and/or Dynamics 365 CE and Microsoft Copilot pre-sales opportunitiesDrive a streamlined pre-sales engagement process with customers to help drive their business transformation using Dynamics 365 and AI copilot Agents in an accelerated fashionDrive the discovery process to identify customer requirements and drive accurate and cost-efficient Statement of Work Estimates from partners to fulfill those requirementsProvide technical and strategic guidance to the field sales teams and partners to create enticing offers on top of Dynamics 365 solutions enhanced with AI copilot agents. Represent Microsoft Business and Industry Copilot Engineering in complex deals by providing functional and technical consultationAssist the core Microsoft Business and Industry Copilot Engineering to develop the right scenarios and features to address customer needsGuide the partners to build world class demos, POCs and solutions to analyze ambiguous technical and customer situations and to determine appropriate solutions as necessary
Qualifications
Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.6+ years of experience in enterprise SaaS and/or AI platforms.6+ years of Domain Skills in one of the following – Engineering, Service Industries, and/or Dynamics Implementation Partner Ecosystem.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with the Microsoft Specialist Team (ST), BIC, or MCAPS preferred.Understanding of functional and technical architecture of Dynamics 365 ERP and/or Dynamics 365 CE or other cloud technologiesUnderstanding of Microsoft’s ecosystem, including Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure, and M365.Expertise in generative AI, intelligent agents, and large language model applications.
Customer Experience Program Mgmt IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
