Microsoft’s Cloud business is expanding, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth including AI! CSCP’s vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Cloud Capacity Differentiated at Scale. Our mission is to deliver capacity for all cloud services predictably through intelligent systems driven by continuous learning and a world class organization. The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.

The Circular Cloud Supply Chain Team within the CS4 organization in CSCP is responsible for the end-to-end reverse logistics of the Cloud data center infrastructure assets. This includes the design, build, and operations of our Circular Centers. Additionally, we are responsible for channel creation and disposition of the end-of-life assets to optimize reuse, repurpose and value recovery. We are central to meeting the goals of the Waste pillar of Microsoft’s Sustainability initiatives. We are planning for significant growth of this program globally and expect to double our footprint in the next two years and are looking for a Sustainability Sourcing Manager. The team engages with multiple suppliers and partners as part of operations. We will need to staff with the right skills and leadership in the right locations to support this growth.

Manage downstream suppliers and customer relationships and operations for end-of-life decommissioned IT hardware from Microsoft Cloud. Proactively select and qualify suppliers and customers to enhance Microsoft’s used equipment disposition business as world class maintaining quality, security and reliability.Establish strong relationship with our partners to ensure the best disposition outcome and value recovery for end-of-life equipment. Collaborate to enhance processes, market engagement, and the equipment reselling capability. Engage with the business groups, decommission management, engineering and path finding teams early in the process to plan for disposition outcomes and influence decision-making related to supplier selection, materials, components, or services to optimize return on investment.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or ProgrammingOR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years experience in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or ProgrammingOR equivalent experience.4+ years of experience and expertise in sourcing, negotiations, and supplier management with a track record of successful outcomes and building good relationships.Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in analytics and problem-solving, a good understanding of IT platforms and systems and in-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices. Experience in communication and negotiation, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Experience in the technology or electronics industry, with a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges and opportunities. · Familiarity with contract negotiations and documentation and experience with long-term strategy planning.Technical Solution Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
