We are looking for a motivated individual with enthusiasm to take on a high impact role as Surface Commercial Finance Lead for the Americas region.The Windows and Devices Finance Team comprises of teams covering Sales, Revenue, Investments, Compete and Gross Margins (GM). We are strong advocates for the business and drives growth through:
Delivering unit, revenue, GM and market share targets Developing deep understanding of Windows and Devices investment framework and (ROI) Return on Investment. Actionable analytics and insights on our competitors, retailers, partners and customers to drive share Providing predictability and transparency through our financial outlooks. The successful candidate will bring a combination of finance and business acumen, leadership, and influencing skills to this space to drive superior financial results in close alignment with our business partners. Forecasting & Budgeting: Lead all regional sales forecast processes and land annual budgets. Drive alignment and collaboration with corporate objectives and in market business strategies. Complete and own monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) close processes. Financial Modelling: Build, maintain and scale robust financial models to accelerate business performance and scenario planning Performance Analysis: Deliver insights to influence business outcomes, from analysis on internal financial metrics, partner performance and market competitiveness. Business Partnership: Be a trusted advisor to business partners in enabling Microsoft to achieve key performance indicators like sales units, revenue, gross margin and market share. Collaborate, partner and influence business leaders and cross-functional teams with planning go-to-market strategies to compete effectively, drive market share, assess investment effectiveness and uphold compliance across the business. Oversee finance rhythm of the business with sales team, land product strategies in channel and deal execution and enable launch readiness. Reporting & Communication: Prepare executive-level presentations and maintain dashboards that clearly articulate financial performance, risk and opportunities and insights to accelerate the business. Collaborate closely with corporate teams to signal insights on effectiveness of global strategies based on in market execution. Leadership: Be an active contributor in the commercial surface finance community to drive analytic rigor, efficient processes and be an advocate for our desired culture.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications:Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.3+years in a matrixed organization.Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
