Microsoft’s Cloud business is expanding, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth including AI! CSCP’s vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Cloud Capacity Differentiated at Scale. Our mission is to deliver capacity for all cloud services predictably through intelligent systems driven by continuous learning and a world class organization. The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.

We are seeking a Supply Planner to join CSCP. You will join the team as a key driver to deliver operational excellence with a focus on hardware demand/supply optimization, while keeping the Microsoft Cloud at the cutting edge of technology.

Silicon Supply Planning

Point of contact to ensure supply priorities are defined and communicatedPartner with internal and external stakeholders, including senior team members, to follow through on established supply strategies and capacity changesChampion internal processes that ensure the smooth flow of supplyTrack metrics related to the operational performance of suppliers and support compliance expectations

Supply Analysis and Processes

Analyze "what-if" scenarios impacting supply and demand management, following through on mitigation strategiesContribute to contingency plans, track global capacity targets, and support allocation processesManage forward or reverse supply plans under the guidance of senior team membersOptimize processes for data management and create dashboards for supply-chain analysis

Lifecycle and Inventory Management

Engage early in the development process to coordinate the Supply Plan for product launchesPlan raw materials and transition old products to new ones, while maximizing flexibility and cost efficiencyDetermine the quantity of materials needed for last-time buy decisions and execute buffer strategies.



Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 1+ year(s) supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experienceOR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related fieldOR equivalent experience1+ years of experience in silicon-related supply chain.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 4+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experienceOR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 2+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experienceOR equivalent experience.

Supply Planning IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $75,100 - $148,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $98,800 - $163,300 per year.
