Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

Cloud Manufacturing Operations and Fulfilment (CMOF) organization within CSCP manages sourcing and supply of IT hardware for the data centers. Well-defined and executed sourcing and supply chain management ensures reliable on-time performance, optimized cost, prevents urgent and unplanned investments, and provides accurate and timely information across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure organization. The role of Senior Supply Chain Program Manager will be responsible for our CSCP 'Pilot to Growth NPI initiative', which will enable us to better manage product ramp to meet customer needs.

In this role, you will be working on managing the end-to-end supply chain for new Artificial Intelligence (AI) related product(s). The primary focus will be engaging with new product teams, the product group, Datacenter Infrastructure and supply chain teams for leading, developing and executing supply chain readiness for AI related products. The Senior Supply Chain Program Manager role for New Product Introduction (NPI) at Microsoft is responsible for;

Driving the organization through the launch of new products from One Design to many products and Customers.

Establishing an effective program infrastructure incorporating the product technical requirements, program milestones, cross-functional goals, and organizational interdependencies ensuring stakeholder alignment.

Driving collaborative efforts with teams both within and outside of manufacturing, including external suppliers.

Identifying and developing New Product Introduction milestone scope, co-dependencies (e.g., certifications), conducts mitigation planning, and identifies critical owners and responsibility assignments.

The primary focus of this role will be engaging with new product teams, the product group, Datacenter Infrastructure and supply chain teams for leading, developing and executing supply chain readiness for AI related products.

Specific duties would include:

Working with cross-functional stakeholders and bringing your own thought leadership to define an NPI readiness strategy, including:Conducting risk management efforts to customer capacityProviding insights and identifying schedule acceleration opportunitiesDriving decisions including trade-offs to maximize customer capacityConducting cost-benefit analyses and other analytics to examine performance and influence decisionsHaving an in-depth understanding of the product’s technical attributes, milestones, deliverables, and interdependenciesStay informed about AI/ Graphical Processiong Units (GPU) industry trends and offer real-time thought leadership on their impact on Microsoft’s Supply ChainUsing technical experience and product knowledge to have effective engagements with Engineering to ensure schedule, risk, issues, quality, and product changes are aligned to business and customer needsDrive business decisions by navigating ambiguity- applying process where it creates value, and designing process where it’s neededUsing program management tools and communication methods to ensure common understanding of the plan of record with stakeholders, holding them accountable to following the scheduleInfluencing across organizational boundaries to achieve broad business goals by early lifecycle engagementDesign AI specific metrics, Rhythym Of Business and Scale NPI processes to increase clarity and simplify executionOther

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field AND 4+ years experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, program management, hardware development, or consumer electronicsOR equivalent experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations or a related area.Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Cloud/GPU/AI related high tech HW or supply chain is a plusExperience in leading large-scale programs, and a proven track record of successfully setting up and executing supply chain operational processesExperience in working with global and cross-functional internal and external teams in a fast-paced environment.Verbal and written communication along with interpersonal, and organizational skillsProficient data analytics (Excel, SQL, PBI, etc.) and problem-solving skillsAbility to lead, collaborate and drive influence in ambiguous situations, and deal effectively with conflicting priorities and changesNPI Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
