Description
Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. Our mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading supply chain. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Operations, within the Cloud Manufacturing, Operations and Fulfillment (CMOF) Organization, the role of Senior Supply Chain Manager is key to enabling the Microsoft Supply Chain support Azure customer experience by providing maximum visibility to world-wide delivery timelines of inbound incremental new Data Center capacity (consisting of various Compute, Storage and Specialty Programs) to executives and the customer-facing teams; including the aggressive delivery timelines of Graphic Processing Units (GPU) rack supply to support the Microsoft Artificial Intelligence (AI) Strategy. Relying heavily on order fulfillment metrics, quantifying current and future customer impacting capacity risks, navigating resource constraints and establishing key performance indicators (KPI's). This role will take an order fulfillment focused view holding key internal MSFT cross-functional teams responsible for their deliverables and hold our external partners and suppliers accountable for timely and defect-free server delivery, by driving proactive communication and root-causes resolution to problem areas.
Order Fulfillment Monitoring for GPU at Scale: Coordinate and Communicate internal and external messaging on changes to demand delivery, constraints and impact, through customer fulfillment metrics monitoringResponsible for Server Order Book management (Date change management, Demand prioritization and supply allocation assessments) and will maintain high data integrity standards in Server Open Book for internal and external data dependenciesHigh Focus on signal-to-live order fulfillment activities to help maintain and improve operational/ production processes and transform those processes into sustainable and effective System Engineering tools, continuously focusing on automating transactional functions, resulting in on-time, defect free capacity delivery to our customersDevelop and drive Microsoft Internal and external key performance Indicators and metrics including, Service Level Agreements (SLA) monitoring, on-time delivery, Purchase Order Milestone Adherence, order promising, critical order management and risk analysis. Present KPIs to the Azure executive team in weekly and monthly meetingsManaging daily Azure Production Call (APC) with cross-functional collaboration with Customer Capacity Management, Deployment , Data Center Operations (DCOps), Engineering Groups (EG’s) and Post-Dock Team to ensure supply-demand is meeting customer requirementsAchieve delivery performance targets as developed to support business needs, while consistently evaluating opportunities and supporting process updates to enhance supply chain performanceManage supply base engagement process, including supplier operational review meetings, metrics, improvement plans and issue resolutionManage and communicate tradeoffs between supply chain efficiency and resiliency during inventory positioning decisions and customer supportability assessmentsResponsible for managing continuous improvements and process initiatives in parallel to day-to-day business operationsCurrent Experience in IT / high-tech electronics or Manufacturing / Service supply chainCommunication, problem solving skills - ability to manage competing priorities, set clear expectations, collaborate, identify objectives, develop and deliver feedback in written, oral, and presentation formats for partner teams, and senior executive managementProject Management skills involving multiple global Suppliers and Internal partners. Qualifications
Required/Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 3+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experienceOR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 1+ year(s) supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experienceOR equivalent experience.Other Requirements:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 7+ years supply chain operations and/or supplier management experience in an Electronics, or high-volume supply chain and or applicable Manufacturing / Hardware production environmentUnderstanding in the use of Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Excel, Power Point, Structured Query Language (SQL), Access, and Power BILean-6 sigma black/green belt, Kaizen, or relevant project and process experience preferred10+ years' supplier management experience in an Electronics, or high-volume supply chain and or applicable Manufacturing / Hardware production environmentMS/MBA preferred
Supply Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
