Description

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our Corporate, External and Legal Affairs (CELA) Headquarters Team in the role of Strategic Projects Lead, CELA Headquarters Team. This pivotal role will support the CELA VP and Chief of Staff by overseeing strategic initiatives and projects in collaboration with internal colleagues across Microsoft and external business partners. In this role you will excel at uniting teams, devising and articulating strategies, and conducting meetings with efficiency and finesse. A firm grasp of Microsoft’s strategic business priorities is essential. This role demands exceptional organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meticulous prioritize and process management.

This is a high-impact role, and we are seeking someone with current or previous Microsoft experience who is looking to spearhead strategic projects.

Lead and manage strategic projects, ensuring alignment with CELA's goals, priorities, and strategic objectives.Partner with internal colleagues across various departments and external business partners to drive project success.Develop and implement effective processes to keep projects on track, ensure timely delivery, and maintain consistent reporting and follow-up.Run meetings efficiently, ensuring actionable outcomes.Devise and articulate strategies that align with the overall vision of CELA.Maintain relationships with stakeholders, demonstrating executive presence and influence.Present project updates and outcomes to executive management in a clear and compelling manner.Create high-quality slides and presentations to support project communication and reporting.

Qualifications



Required/minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 8+ years of experience in business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, communications, or business-related rolesOR equivalent experience.Additional or preferred qualifications:

Master's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management) AND 7+ years of experience in business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, communications, or business-related roles OR Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 10+ years of experience in business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, communications, or business-related rolesOR equivalent experience.Project management skillsDemonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.Proficiency in creating high-quality slides and presentations.Organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Aligns and leverages resources across internal and external communities to ensure a positive impact of philanthropic digital skilling, digital transformation, and nonprofit capacity building initiatives.Understands and applies deep, contextualized knowledge of Microsoft and Corporate and Legal Affairs strategies to drive results and program integrity.Provides thought leadership for identifying and closing high-impact business development opportunities, removing roadblocks to drive business results, and strategically partnering with Microsoft Philanthropies team members and other key business/client leads.Designs, leads, and collaborates on cross-group projects that are of strategic importance to Microsoft or that involve executive participation, to develop scalable and sustainable solutions.Leads the resolution of competing policy approaches or priorities by collaborating with CELA HQ, CELA management, and other Microsoft executives to ensure a coordinated approach on issues with Microsoft-wide impact or high external visibility.

Business Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year.
