OverviewMicrosoft’s Enterprise Account Team focuses on empowering customers on their Cloud and AI transformation, from envisioning new possibilities to delivering solutions that result in targeted business outcomes and great customer experience and revenue growth for Microsoft.
As a Strategic Account Technology Strategist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing technology strategies and initiatives for a major financial services client within our Capital Markets segment. Your role will be to work hand in hand with the customer’s global teams and focus on supporting the customer’s business and technology objectives while aligning with Microsoft’s strategic goals.
As a key member of the core account team, you set the technology strategy to align with customer objectives. By leveraging your cross-functional team, Microsoft's product portfolio, and partner network, you'll connect with technology leaders and deliver industry-relevant solutions to support AI adoption and Azure cloud alignment. This role enables you to apply your expertise in technology, presales, and industry knowledge to help the customer achieve their cloud and AI goals, positioning you as a trusted advisor and driving long-term revenue growth.

Responsibilities
Account team “CTO” and defines the account team's technology strategy to align with the customer's business goals and technical environment across all Microsoft platforms in close collaboration with the customer
Uses knowledge of customer industries, technology platforms, and business operations to develop AI and Azure strategies aligned with business goals. Engages in constructive discussions to define and lead customer strategies about their technology goals
Drives Microsoft business growth, and opportunity lifecycle management, by strategically planning across platforms to meet customer needs, supporting partner co-selling, and overseeing consumption and usage governance
Leads cross v-Team orchestration across field, product group engineering, industry, support, customer success, and executive leadership to drive a OneMicrosoft execution to solving customer needs
Identifies and comprehends important market technology trends in the industry, along with customer challenges, opportunities, and obstacles to platform growth
Leads strategic technology efforts spanning Microsoft platforms across selected Private Equity portfolio companies under the customer’s strategic ownership. Inclusive of orchestrating across the v-Team and partners to drive growth across the customer’s private equity portfolio
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND several years technical presales, technical consultative selling, public cloud hyperscale leadership, business consulting, or related technical/sales experience
Preferred: MBA or master’s degree in technology, Finance or related field
Expertise across Microsoft technologies and platforms covering Cloud and AI, Business Solutions, productivity, and security. Azure services and public cloud architecture knowledge preferred
Experience leading cross team orchestration across sales, engineering, support, industry, and executive levels of the organization to drive customer focused initiatives
Experience in strategic digital transformation, or using technology to drive customer business outcomes
Proven track record in analyzing translating customer needs into business objectives and technology solutions
Demonstrated success, working across Financial Services industry in a technology presales or implementation capacity
Proficiency in making recommendations to and collaborating with mid-to-senior level executive and relationship building. Strong communication skills
Strategic Account Technology IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
