We are seeking a Senior Sourcing Engineer to join CSCP. You will join the team as a key driver to deliver operational excellence with a focus on hardware demand/supply optimization, while keeping the Microsoft Cloud at the cutting edge of technology.

Sourcing Strategy in the assigned category supported by market intelligence, supplier rationalization, pricing projection, TCO cost modeling, and transparent supplier relationship managementSupply chain resiliency planning to withstand harsh what-if scenarios and be able to articulate built-in mitigation levers to ensure continuous supplyComplex deal and price negotiations to provide competitive advantage and presenting recommendations and options to executivesChange management control that continuously improves performance by documenting repeatable processes, the elimination of work duplication, and leverages systematic process design and feedback tools, like 6-sigmaGlobal category management focused on silicon chips and/or the integration of module assembliesDevelop should-cost models leveraging market data, comparative analysis, test hardware utilization, and labor efficiencyProject stakeholder management and timeline adherence.



Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 4+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related rolesOR Master's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 3+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related rolesOR equivalent experience 3+ years of experience in silicon-related supply chain.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 8+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related rolesOR Master's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 6+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related rolesOR equivalent experience.Expertise in market analysis, ability to dissect market size, players, customers, growth, technology replacements/forecasts, pricing trends, etc. to formulate sourcing strategies.Leverages broad operations experience for proactive risk mitigation, for leadership across disciplines, and for executive communication Professional experience in “owned” factory operations including data-driven capacity managementExperience in contract and price negotiations Experienced in a high demand environment, navigate ambiguities and obstacles through evaluation of alternatives, open-mindedly leverages help from others, and leads with strategyAbility to switch between strategic development and tactical execution. Ability to articulate points of view with executive management but execute plans when directed. A team player who gets the job done.Focused subject matter experience in a global silicon supply chain

Sourcing Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
