This team is looking for a Principal Software Engineering Manager to help Engage in driving innovation, connection, and community for our valued global customers. As a Principal Software Engineering Manager, you will lead and manage a team of engineers spanning all aspects of software engineering life cycle and a history of delivering highly available products and services with quality and on schedule. You will be hands-on and obsessed with delivering world-class experiences that are performant and built for massive scale in a 24/7 world. Responsibilities
Build, Develop, Grow and Lead a team of high-performing engineers.Plan and drive strategic decisions and feature prioritization in partnership with other key stakeholders.Partner with Product Management, Design and Data Science to drive execution excellence across disciplines and deliver customer focused experiences with great business impact.Provide oversight, accountability, and leadership for technical decisions with a bias for action.Create and foster a culture that drives engineering and service excellence.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.4+ years people management experience.
Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
