You will define and own the automation strategy that will drive efficiency in business processes relating to how we put products in market.
As a Principal Software Engineering Manager in the Monetization and Business Planning team, you will act as a strategic partner to functional teams, responsible for Microsoft’s go-to-market decisions are made to drive business growth. You will develop your career, forge effective cross-functional relationships, take on progressively broader responsibilities, and establish yourself as a trusted strategic advisor. Responsibilities
Define and drive the roadmap for business process automation ensuring alignment with security and compliance requirementsOwn the full life cycle development of business process automation and its corresponding data analytics solutions on Microsoft’s Azure Intelligent Cloud platformThese solutions will be core to driving efficiency in how we launch our products and improve the decision making process of our internal teamsMake executive connections with key stakeholders and work with them to determine the scope of business process automationCommit to a customer and/or stakeholder-oriented focus, lead discussions and develop insights and recommendationsDrive the implementation of methods that create durability & efficiency in core work related to scalable business process automation efforts using Microsoft CoPilot StudioLead and coach your team to conduct thorough reviews of architecture to produce secure, extensible and maintainable code on Azure Intelligent Cloud platformCoach your team to drive multiple group's project plans, release plans, and work items in coordination with appropriate stakeholdersSeek new knowledge that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale and shares knowledge with other engineersFoster an inclusive team culture that prioritizes psychological safety, diversity of thought, and career growth through coaching and succession planningProvide technical direction for scalable, secure architectures and champion innovation using AI/ML to advance automation capabilitiesOtherEmbody our culture and values
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experiencePreferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience4+ years people management experienceSolid understanding of project management principlesWorking knowledge of cloud data engineering, preferably Azure
Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
