Our team is the hub for business-critical data and analytics, for the Identity & Network Access division. We are responsible for harnessing data to provide intelligent features in our product experiences, to expose data to Customers through UX and APIs, as well as to enable business-critical data-driven decisions and to provide rich intelligent insights on the data. We handle high scale Ingestion in the order of trillions of logs and high scale APIs, in the order of millions of requests served per day.

This Hybrid Position is located at our Microsoft office in Redmond, Washington. Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates will need to relocate or reside within 50 miles of the field location. 
Responsibilities
Lead and Grow Teams: Build and mentor a high-performing team of Software Engineers and Data Scientists, delivering high-scale services, platforms, and customer experiences.Cross-Group Collaboration: Partner with multiple product groups and architects to define best practices, improve system and platform development, and enhance operational efficiency.Operational Excellence: Ensure safe deployments, effective troubleshooting, and diagnosis of large-scale systems.Architectural Leadership: Drive impactful trade-offs, continuously improve architecture and code quality, and lead consensus on key design decisions across teams and leadership.Vision and Execution: Own the roadmap, set clear goals, and deliver results aligned with business priorities.Enterprise Engagement: Actively collaborate across Microsoft to establish joint ways of working and shared standards.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Additional or Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.4+ years of experience designing, building, and operating scalable, highly available cloud services or distributed systems on platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, or comparable cloud environments, with production ownership and CI/CD pipeline integration.4+ years of experience managing software engineering teams, including responsibility for hiring, performance management, and career development.#MSFTSecurity
Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
