Managing a team of engineers to deliver engineering results that are well aligned with business goals. Define and communicate the technical vision and roadmap for the team and ensure alignment with Microsoft's overall strategy and goals. Partner with other teams and stakeholders across Microsoft to understand their needs and requirements, and to deliver solutions that enable and enhance their scenarios. Drive technical excellence and quality across M365 Core and ensure their team adherence to engineering standards and processes. Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the industry and identify and evaluate new opportunities and technologies for M365 Core and their team. Embody our Culture and Values.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.Experience as technical lead or engineering manager, with proficiency in cloud computing and distributed systems. Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred Qualifications:

Leadership and communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to influence and inspire others at all levels. Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
