Commerce + Ecosystems (C+E) is responsible for enabling and optimizing the end-to-end customer journey on the Microsoft Cloud. C+E’s Sales & Partner Services (SPS) team empowers partners and sellers to achieve success in the Microsoft ecosystem by building world-class tools and services to meet their needs. The team also empowers business decision-makers to incentivize partners and sellers through benefits and financial incentives.

As a Software Engineer you will develop software, tools and code to be used in support of design, infrastructure, and technology platforms as well as commercial or end-user applications. This opportunity will allow you to create and implement extensible and maintainable code for a product, service, or feature. You will partner with stakeholders to determine user requirements for a feature and consider a variety of feedback channels to incorporate insights into future designs or solution fixes. You will collaborate with others to create a clear and articulated plan for testing, assuring quality of solutions, while applying knowledge of debugging tools, logs, telemetry, and other methods to proactively flag issues. This opportunity will allow you to learn about customer scaling requirements and the application of best practices for meeting scaling needs and performance expectations, while ensuring the correct processes are followed to achieve a high degree of security, privacy, safety, and accessibility.

Determines user requirements, creates test plans, identifies dependencies, estimates work, and schedules deliverables. Applies good coding standards and patterns. Performs software development in C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, React and other languages.  Participates in livesite. Embodies our Culture and Values

Qualifications

Required qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, React, Typescript, Java, JavaScript, or Python.OR equivalent experience. Other requirements:Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred qualifications

Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience. Ability to build and maintain RESTful APIs and web services. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Software Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $81,900 - $160,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $105,600 - $174,600 per year.
