If yes, then you might be the a fit for our Bare-metal Imaging Solutions team as a Senior Software Engineer!

We are a diverse and inclusive team of software engineers who work on the data center automation project, which aims to streamline and optimize the deployment and management of Azure data centers. We use C# as our primary programming languages, and leverage Azure PaaS solutions such as Azure Storage, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Durable Functions to build scalable, secure, and reliable systems. We also work with networking and hardware technologies such as PXE, DHCP, UEFI, and TPM to enable booting and provisioning of servers remotely. Our project is used as an OS patching solution that ensures the quality and security of the Windows operating system.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Bare-metal Imaging Solution team, you will be responsible for:

Designing, developing, testing, and deploying high-quality distributed systems solutions for the data center automation projectCollaborating with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand the requirements and deliver the best user experienceTroubleshooting and resolving issues and bugs in the data center automation systems and distributed systems.Mentoring and coaching engineers and sharing best practicesResearching and exploring new technologies and trends that can improve the data center automation project

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, Rust, & GOOR equivalent experience.Experience with Azure PaaS solutions such as Azure Storage, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Durable FunctionsExperience with networking and passion for working on hardware technologies such as PXE, DHCP, UEFI, and TPM.Experience with security and reliability engineering, such as encryption, authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring, testing, and debuggingEffective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skillsA growth mindset and a willingness to learn new things and take on challengesSoftware Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
