As a Principal Software Engineer, you will:
Engineering – Responsible for design and implement end-to-end features to solve complex problems in data analysis. Hold high engineering bar on code/design quality through collaborating with other team members, write clean, performance and maintainable code. Creates and applies metrics to drive the quality and stability of code, as well as appropriate coding patterns and best practices. Drive - Have passion to turn vision into detailed plans and execute against complex plans. Coordinating with PMs, and UX design team in driving clarity of functional requirements and intuitive user experience. Lead design discussion with the team and share findings/learnings from investigation, hold ownership for design decisions. Planning and Deliver – Participate in sprint and semester planning, provide scope estimates. Communicate individual status on deliverables, risks in stand-ups and sprint reviews. Accountable to deliver results based on business priority and team commitment. Culture - possess a growth mindset, continuously seek learning opportunities, and effectively influence team culture by promoting resilience, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit. Qualifications
Required/Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred/Additional Qualifications
React and Data visualization experience.Problem-solving skills and comfortable in dealing with ambiguity. Ability to handle competing priorities and perform at an elevated level in a fast passed and dynamic environment . Proven record of accomplishment in shipping successful products. Software Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
