Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. Responsibilities
Design and develop software solutions that deliver delightful and finely crafted user experiences on Bing.Design and develop responsive and visually appealing user interfaces using modern frontend technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).Implement UX styling and design systems to maintain consistency and enhance usability across products.Collaborate with other teams to achieve these goals.Solve problems related to mission-critical services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence.Identify and fix or drive solutions for systemic issues.Customer Experience Obsession.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience. Preferred:
Minimum of 5 years of development experience with exceptional coding, design, problem-solving, and analytical capabilitiesStrong technical proficiency, particularly in React, AngularJS, Web Components, and CSS.Proficiency in debugging and resolving issues across multiple subsystems.Familiarity with C# is a plus.Experience with Git.Proven experience in developing highly available and scalable web services.Familiarity with Bing UX is a plus.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong emphasis on quality and engineering excellence.Solid sense of accountability and ownership throughout the entire project lifecycle.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
