As a Senior Software Engineer in Azure Core, you will work with a highly skilled, collaborative, and fast-moving team that thrives on solving complex problems, iterating quickly, and delivering meaningful business value. You will work with modern Azure services and data technologies to build scalable, innovative, and impactful solutions that sit at the core of Microsoft’s cloud. We are looking for an action-oriented, technically strong and talented candidate that can drive high quality engineering, deal with ambiguity and help design innovative solutions. This role will enable you to grow technically building a mission critical product, work with massive data and cutting-edge AI technologies, and collaborate with engineering teams across the company.

Responsibilities
Lead artificial intelligence–native software development across the full software development lifecycle, owning the quality, safety, and responsible use of AI-generated requirements, designs, code, and tests.Architect and deliver complex, scalable systems, making design decisions that meet performance, reliability, cost, security, privacy, and compliance requirements.Set the standard for engineering excellence, mentoring others to produce maintainable, testable, secure, and performant code while establishing best practices and quality metrics.Drive reliability and operational readiness, leading logging, telemetry, diagnostics, incident response, and post-incident reviews to improve system health and prevent recurrence.Own delivery from experimentation through production, using controlled rollouts, success metrics, and safe deployment practices to validate impact and ship with confidence.Collaborate across teams and disciplines, aligning dependencies and translating customer and stakeholder requirements into high-quality, compliant solutions.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 7+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 7+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.#azurecorejobs
