The Purview Data Governance team’s mission is to deliver a solution for the age of AI that includes data catalog and discovery, enterprise data management, analytics, observability, access and workflows. We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Senior Software Engineer to join us in our mission of building a market-leading SaaS product for our enterprise data governance customers. Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Design, develop and operate features for distributed cloud software services and solutions Help envision and build the analytical "heart" of the data governance product including controls to measure program effectiveness, actions to track mitigation of anomalies and findings, and reports for deeper analysis Develop “best-in-class” engineering for our services by ensuring that the services and the components are well-defined and modularized, secure, reliable, diagnosable, actively monitored and reusable Bring an AI first perspective to building the product features and in your day to day work Participate in team on-call maintenance of the service Embody our culture and values.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

4+ years of experience building scalable, efficient, and reliable cloud services (systems design, architecture, and writing unit tests and integration/ end to end tests) 3+ years of experience with CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery or Deployment) pipelines, DevOps practices.

4+ years of experience with large-scale, distributed systems and concurrent programming Cloud and services experience, with Azure cloud experience highly desirable Proficiency in Agile software delivery utilizing GitHub and/or Azure DevOps Service.

Qualifications - Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

- This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
