OverviewAzure Storage is at the core of Azure, providing over 100 exabytes of raw capacity distributed over 3000+ storage clusters in 200+ datacenters across 70 regions worldwide and provides the persistent storage layer in the cloud, powering millions of Azure virtual machines, holding years of video, billions of photos, and exabytes of data powering the latest breakthroughs in Artificial Intelligence AI.
As a Software Engineering IC2, you will have an opportunity to evaluate the latest technologies to improve reliability and responsiveness of the system. You will work closely with other Software Engineers, Data Scientists, Program Managers and DevOps team to understand the business requirements and challenges, and to deliver a system that meets the expectations and needs of our first- and third-party customers.

Responsibilities
Define feature level specifications within a system that manages resource usage in a dynamic environment.Design and build components, tools and telemetry for these features and integrate into the system/platform.Communicate and document the design clearly and effectively to the development team and other stakeholders.Partner with appropriate stakeholders to provide improvements to the implementation, monitoring and robustness.Respond to changing business requirements by generating new ideas, pivoting development and incorporating process changes.Participate in DevOps to provide operational support.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (or currently pursuing a degree) in Computer Science or related technical discipline, OR equivalent experience. Proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.#azurecorejobs
Software Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $84,200 - $165,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $109,000 - $180,400 per year.
