Join Microsoft’s Commerce Customer Enablement (CCE) team within Cloud + Enterprise (C+E) to build secure, scalable, and AI-powered commerce platforms that enable frictionless transactions and protect customer trust. Commerce + Experiences (C+E) is the organization that powers Microsoft’s digital storefronts and customer experiences across products and services. It is responsible for delivering seamless commerce capabilities that enable customers and partners to transact, subscribe, and engage with Microsoft offerings globally. C+E ensures that every interaction from purchasing to renewal is secure, reliable, and optimized for scale, supporting Microsoft’s mission to empower every person and organization on the planet to achieve more.

Within C+E, the Customer Commerce Enablement (CCE) Engineering team plays a critical role in building the platforms and services that make these experiences possible. CCE Engineering designs and delivers the foundational systems for pricing, offers, subscriptions, and billing, ensuring that Microsoft’s commerce ecosystem is robust, compliant, and adaptable to evolving business needs. This team impacts Microsoft by enabling growth across consumer and commercial segments, driving operational excellence, and innovating on capabilities that support new business models. Through engineering excellence and collaboration, CCE Engineering ensures that customers and partners have a frictionless, trusted experience when doing business with Microsoft.

Responsibilities

Design and implement highly reliable, secure, and scalable services for Microsoft’s commerce ecosystem.Develop and optimize fraud detection and risk scoring systems using AI/ML technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize infrastructure and improve operational excellence.Contribute to platform observability, cost efficiency, and performance improvements.Champion best practices in compliance, security, and engineering quality. Qualifications

Required Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of professional software engineering experience.Proficiency in C#, Java, or Python, and experience with distributed systems. Understanding of cloud technologies (Azure preferred), containerization (AKS/Kubernetes), and microservices.Knowledge of security principles and compliance standards in enterprise environments.Experience with AI/ML frameworks and data-driven decision systems. Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, observability tools, and performance tuning. Problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Excellent communication skills for cross-team alignment and storytelling.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
