Responsibilities

Leads by example within the team to produce extensible, maintainable, well-tested, secure, and performant code that adheres to design specifications. Optimize, debug, and refactor code to improve performance and maintainability, and effectiveness.Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) in monitoring system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions for simple problems, and recommends actions to restore system/product/service by following the playbookApply metrics to drive the quality and stability of code, as well as appropriate coding patterns and best practicesIdentifies dependencies and incorporates them into the development of design documents for a product, application, service or platform. Actively identify other teams and technologies to leverage, how they interact, and where their own system or team can support others. Leads discussions for product/service architecture and develop complex design specifications.Review code to assure compliance to quality standards, is reliable and accurate, and is appropriate for the scale of the product/solution area.Mentor junior engineers

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical field AND 6+ year(s) technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python,OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, or Python,OR equivalent experience.Experience or working knowledge of JavaScript/Node.js/React or another similar web stackExperience with distributed systems and a cloud technology stack such as Azure or AWSWorking knowledge of agile software development methodologies and tools that enable these, such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, etc.#PRIMOjobs  and #EngOps #PRIMOjobs #EngOps

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
