Responsibilities
Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to understand challenges and identify opportunities from the perspective of strategic customers.
Leverages your subject-matter expertise of cross-product features with appropriate team members to drive work items to resolve customer-reported issues (CRI).
Defines and plan technology requirements and solutions to resolve complex, end-to-end business and engineering challenges, particularly those impacting Mission Critical Customers from a Customer-Reported Issue (CRI) perspective.
Partners with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a specific set of scenarios.
Seeks new knowledge and adapt to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns to improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products.
Drives consistency in monitoring and operations at scale, and share your knowledge with other engineers while maintaining a customer-centric mindset.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline,OR equivalent experience. Proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:  Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 1+ year(s) technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, OR Python,OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python,OR equivalent experience.Experience in one or more core cloud platform areas—compute, networking, or storage—on Azure or other cloud providers.Experience contributing to the design and architecture of large-scale software systems.

Software Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $84,200 - $165,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $109,000 - $180,400 per year.
