OverviewWe are part of the Azure Experiences and Ecosystems team. Our team owns the data platform supporting several user experiences including the Azure Portal, Azure Copilot, Microsoft Learn and many more. Our services are accessed by millions of unique users every month.
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer with passion for large data storage and smart integration with an emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) landscape. Responsibilities
Build and maintain scalable, secure, and performant data infrastructure.Partner with product and infra teams to capture meaningful signals across services.Support shared tooling and pipelines for model training, evaluation, and deployment.Releasing frequent updates every week.Knowledge and work in agile development and continuous improvement processes.Value quality, security, performance, scalability, usability, and accessibility in everything we do.Are team-players eager to excel in a dynamic, customer-focused, collaborative environment.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.1+ year(s) of experience in a Data Engineer or Software Engineer role with a focus on cloud-based big data processing.1+ year(s) of being productive and effective when working in a highly collaborative environment.1+ year(s) of proficiency with code technologies like C#, Python, REST APIs.Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:  Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer ScienceOR related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, OR PythonOR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience. 4+ year(s) knowledge of data mining, machine learning, or information retrieval.2+ year(s) of experience with Experimentation platforms and processing flighting telemetry.2+ year(s) knowledge of Azure, Azure Data Explorer (KQL), Synapse and Grafana.6+ year(s) of programming experience and a willingness to learn new programming languages/AI tools to meet goals and objectives.
