The Commerce + Ecosystems team is developing some of Microsoft’s largest scale and business critical cloud services.
We are commercial pricing team. Our team provides centralized pricing solutions for commercial customers to use azure/office services. We operate a well distributed web solution to allow commercial customers to negotiate deals for product sets. We also be responsible for producing retail and negotiated price sheet based various pricing factors. Those pricing points eventually impact cost management, usage change and entitlement purchase quote checkout. It also helps our end customer to understand the competitive price by choosing Azure instead of AWS. Our infrastructure is a high scale, financially compliant, performant big data environment that produces multiple refreshes per day of price sheets. With this scale and reach you’ll find the opportunity to make an impact on Microsoft’s bottom-line directly as we process a significant portion of Microsoft’s revenue.
Responsibilities
You should have a solid understanding of the software development cycle, from architecture to testing to running and maintaining the service.
You will own and drive large feature areas including establishing functionality, stages and costing, work with multiple stakeholders across the company and land design and architecture.
You will manage multiple tactical virtual teams.
You will also drive the implementation of the solution across multiple team members, ensuring compliant, scalable, reliable, and well tested code with good quality monitoring, telemetry and supportability.
You will establish and drive adoption of good coding standards and patterns.
You will drive up the ease of Livesite supportability in a compliant manner.
You will help build a strong inclusive team by hiring and mentoring.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, Java, ScalaOR equivalent experience.Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred Qualifications:
4+ years demonstrated experience in designing and developing enterprise-level internet scale services/solutions. 1+ year Experience in message-based architectures like Kafka, Azure EventHub, Spark, or AWS Kinesis. Proven track record of shipping highly scalable and reliable services/systems. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write concise and accurate technical documentation, communicate technical ideas to non-technical audiences. Demonstrated ability to impact/influence engineering and project teams Experience with microservices architecture and/or cloud Platforms like Windows Azure Platform, Amazon AWS, Google Apps. Experience with Big Data/Analytic Systems like Cosmos or Hadoop implementations. Experience in Machine Learning. Expertise with building REST APIs. Experience collaborating across teams to deliver complete and cohesive features and end-to-end experiences, on time. Experience implementing and driving complex solutions through a team of engineers.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
