We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Ring 0 Services organization within Intune, to build cloud services that operate at high scale and availability, with opportunities for technical leadership. As a senior member of our team, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of highly scalable and reliable software components, drive technical strategy, and mentor junior engineers. We're seeking someone who is passionate about exploring application of AI in our everyday work, advocating for its use as a multiplier across teams, and identifying and driving continuous productivity improvements.

Technical Leadership:
Lead technical design and architecture discussions for Ring 0 Services Drive technical roadmap and vision for Ring 0 Services, aligning with Intune's overall strategy Collaborate with product management to define and prioritize project backlogs Software Development:
Design, develop, and deploy distributed systems software components in Ring 0, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance Write high-quality, maintainable code, and review contributions from junior engineers Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing:
Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and oversight on complex projects Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring knowledge sharing and best practices Innovation and R&D:
Explore emerging technologies and trends, assessing their impact on our distributed systems and services Drive proof-of-concept projects, demonstrating innovative solutions and technical expertise Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and operations Communicate technical vision and roadmap to stakeholders, both technical and non-technical Embody our culture and values
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.4+ years of experience designing, developing, or maintaining secure software systems, with applied knowledge of authentication, data protection, access control, and secure coding practicesOther Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Additional or preferred qualifications
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.6+ years of experience designing, developing, or maintaining secure software systems, with applied knowledge of authentication, data protection, access control, and secure coding practices 4 years of experience in software development, with a focus on distributed systems, high-scale engineering, and cloud computingProficient programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, Scala, or C++ In-depth knowledge of distributed systems design principles, scalability patterns, and high-availability architectures Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) Experienced problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to debugging and performance optimization Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in agile teams and leading technical discussions Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
