As part of the Azure Knowledge AI team within Microsoft AI Services, you’ll help shape the future of Content Understanding, and agentic memory. You’ll work with cutting-edge large and small language models and agentic infrastructure to deliver impactful, scalable AI services.

Design, build, and maintain scalable AI (Artificial Intelligence) services for Azure AI (Artificial Intelligence) Content Understanding and Knowledge team.  Collaborate with researchers and engineers to integrate cutting-edge large and small language models into production systems.  Drive architecture and implementation decisions that ensure performance, reliability, and maintainability of AI services.  Contribute to the development of agentic infrastructure that enables dynamic and intelligent interactions.  Contribute to a culture of technical excellence, inclusion, and continuous learning.  Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and cross-team collaborations to deliver high-quality software.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.4+ years of experience in programming languages such as C#, C++, Java, or Python. Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred Qualifications:

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.  Solid understanding of machine learning or natural language processing concepts. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and microservices architecture.  Strong Code tracing abilities.Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
