Description
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team! Azure’s core priority is to be world's most trusted, secure, and global cloud and a great place for people to work. Azure Nexus platform is building a team to help develop an edge computing platform to automate and manage the customer hybrid cloud platform and work load deployments and the next generation Internet of Things. Take features from ideation to successful global roll outAct as an expert code and design reviewer and mentor other engineersAccelerate development velocity for all engineers and deliver continuous improvements to the team’s process and codebaseBuild automation to prevent and/or remediate service problems from becoming production incidentsBuild solid cross group collaboration with other cross-geo teams to remove blockers and drive for comprehensive end-end service deliveryLeverage other data platforms (open source and within Microsoft) for building solutionsTo thrive in this position, you should be a creative and analytical thinker, technical, and committed to excellence. Ability to lead complex projects with a solid record of end to end delivery of high-quality products is a huge plus. You are willing to learn from our customers and your peers.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.Experience in building, shipping and operating reliable, distributed systems softwareExperience with configuration, management, diagnostics of network devices (switches, routers) and protocols (ethernet & routing protocols).Ability to engage DevOps engineering practices

Cloud Background check: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.Ability to learn and grasps concepts quickly in a fast-paced environmentRemarkable problem-solving skills and outstanding drive for resultsCommitment to collaboration and teamwork and ability to deliver via influenceSelf-starter, who proactively identifies problems and drives for resolutionExperience with containers and KubernetesSolid programming experience in GoLang Languages with Data Structures and AlgorithmsSolid technical and design Skills towards problem solving w.r.to Scale and Optimization.Knowledge of Ethernet, fiber optics, 802.1Q VLANs, VRF (Virtual Routing and Forwarding), TCP/IP, DHCP, BGP, MPLS, and VxLAN (Virtual Extensible LAN), dual-stack (IPv4 & IPv6) IP addressing, and IP network design.Solid analysis and communication experience including customer critical issues and resolution.Experience with Openconfig and gNMIA bias towards action to identify the best approach.Solid communication, verbal and written English skills.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
