We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to architect and build the core infrastructure that powers our AI services at scale.

In this role, you will design resilient data systems, high-throughput pipelines, and create platforms that enable rapid experimentation and reliable deployment of generative AI features. You will tackle complex engineering challenges around performance, scalability, and reliability, ensuring our AI services are fast, robust, and ready to evolve with the pace of innovation.

• Design, and implementation of scalable, reliable, and secure services in the Copilot Studio AI services.

• Design and develop data platforms and data systems that empower applied science teams to experiment and improve AI quality.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build infra and automation to accelerate AI features lifecycle.

• Practice engineering best practices, including CI/CD, observability, and operational excellence.

• Partner with Applied Science and AI experts to transform what it means to build AI-first SaaS.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.4+ years of experience as a developer working with cloud-based platforms or AI-driven systems.1+ year (s) of generative AI experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience building AI-centric software and services, with familiarity in AI-based orchestration and agent capabilities.Experience in developing scalable applications and services on Azure (or other major cloud platforms) with a focus on reliability, resilience, security, and performance.Experience designing and operating data platforms and feedback-driven data systems that continuously improve AI models and services.Knowledge of model fine-tuning techniques and experience with Azure AI/Foundry ecosystems.Experience with rapid experimentation frameworks such as A/B testing, shadow testing, or similar methodologies.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
