Our team operates in an agile development environment, continuously gathering and analyzing data to counter evolving threats. You will work closely with other engineering teams to ensure our services and systems are highly stable, performant, and meet the expectations of both internal and external customers. We are looking for people with experiences working with all service aspects of high throughput and multi-tenant services, ability to design components carefully, properly handle errors, write clean and well-factored code with good tests and good maintainability.

Leads efforts and discussions for the architecture of aspects of products/solutions. Independently creates and mentors others for a clear and articulated plan for testing and assuring the quality of solutions, and defines success for outcomes of tests. Leads identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform. Creates and applies metrics to drive the quality and stability of code, as well as appropriate coding patterns and best practices. Holds accountability for the impact of build deployments on both users and other services. Leads efforts to collect, classify, and analyze complex data and analyses on a range of metrics. Leads identification of internal tools and creation of new tools that will be useful for creating the product, determining if methods are still applicable for the current solution. Demonstrates and maintains an up-to-date understanding of both global and local regulations for technologies and system applications to ensure regulations are followed and met. Escalates situations internally to resolve complex blockers.Embody our culture and values
Qualifications
Required/Minimum QualificationBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.1+ years of experience with LLMs and open-source GenAI frameworks, such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, or equivalents (e.g., Transformers, AutoGen, DSPy), including agent-based orchestration, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and fine-tuning and evaluation.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:- This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Requirements:
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
Software Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
