Within Azure Data, the business intelligence team builds and maintains Power BI which is the undisputed leader in BI tool in the industry today and serves as the bridge between data professionals & Office users. Power BI’s core value proposition is to enable end users to get answers & insights from their data through data visualization.

The Power BI Core Visuals team is hiring a Senior Software Engineer. Our users need a rich, immersive experience across the desktop, web, and mobile that helps them to effortlessly gain insights and make sense of their data. As a Power BI developer, you'll help solve many interesting challenges in the areas of data visualizations, web accessibility, responsive layouts, action buttons, conditional formatting, and intuitive authoring experiences.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript or Python OR equivalent experience2+ years of experience working on front-end web applications.

1+ years of experience using templated libraries like React or Angular or Vue.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter

Preferred/Additional Qualifications:

Experience using BI tools like Power BI.Prior experience with web technologies including HTML/CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React or Angular.A passion for data visualization, experience with a charting library like d3.js or vega-lite.Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
