Description
Commerce + Ecosystems (C+E) is responsible for enabling and optimizing the end-to-end customer journey on the Microsoft Cloud. C+E’s Commerce Financial Services (CFS) team is responsible for Financial Platforms, Global Payments & Cash, Employee Financial Experiences, and C+E Governance, and also develops and operates financial commerce platforms and tools that perform all revenue management functions for our customers, partners, and staff worldwide.Global Payments & Cash (GP&C) enables the payment capabilities of Microsoft with services built for processing both inbound and outbound payment transactions, managing payment methods and reconciliation across multiple Microsoft key businesses like XBOX, Microsoft Store, Edge, Office 365, Azure, and Bing. The whole payment stack is continuously expanding its footprint in around 200+ counties globally.
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who can help us build large-scale, highly performant, highly available and secure payment services. Payment is fundamental for a commerce platform. You will ensure customer transactions are processed in a secure and highly reliable manner; and partner closely with Microsoft product engineering teams to ensure a great solution is delivered for our customers around the world. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience.
Experience with Azure PaaS and IaaS services.Exposure to UX frameworks.Experience working with large data sets in SQL/Cosmos DB/Spark/Data Lake or similar.Experience working in an agile development team. Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
