We are looking for a motivated Senior Software Engineer with a solid technical background to help build highly scalable cloud services. You will play a key role in building the next generation platform and machine learning solutions that will empower Microsoft 365 users. You will be part of prototyping new ideas and scale solutions to millions of users while working in an agile and flexible environment.

You will work with the engineers in the team, and partner teams, to design and build systems, services, features and components for an AI based microservices and distributed architecture in Azure that includes:
Design, implementation, and testing cloud-based server-side code.Contributing to team-wide fundamentals/infrastructure investments.Collaborate with other Microsoft 365 engineering teams.Investigating and prototyping new technologies and frameworks.Writing and maintaining unit tests and automated integration tests.Defining and ensuring engineering quality. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated coding and development skills with experience in C#.Experience and knowledge of data structures, algorithms and design patterns. Passion for quality with high customer empathy.Compelling interpersonal and cross-group collaboration, communication skills and growth mindset.Experience with large scale, high availability services with a background in reliability, scalability and performance.Experience in .NET Core, Python, Machine Learning, Azure and Kubernetes.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
