We operate a service-at-scale today that is vital (an “Oxygen” service) for tens-of-thousands of organizations with hundreds of millions of users.We are a group of supportive team players, working on critical and strategic projects in Intune and are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Core Services Infrastructure organization. You will be working in a fast-paced agile environment to deliver robust designs and code across backend microservice and therefore need to be able to debug and optimize work across numerous services and teams.
As a senior member of our team, you will be designing, building, and running cloud services at high scale and availability. You will have end-to-end ownership of scenarios and features and will have the opportunity to have significant impact, to drive technical strategy, to hone your system design skills while working on the latest technologies in Cloud computing, and to collaborate cross team/group/org.

Technical Leadership:
Lead technical design and architecture discussions for core service infrastructure Drive technical roadmap and vision for core infrastructure, aligning with Intune's overall strategy Collaborate with product management to define and prioritize project backlogs Software Development:
Design, develop, deploy, and maintain distributed systems software components, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance Write high-quality, maintainable code, and review contributions from engineers Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing:
Mentor engineers, providing guidance and oversight on complex projects Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring knowledge sharing and best practices Innovation and R&D:
Explore emerging technologies and trends, assessing their impact on our distributed systems and services Drive proof-of-concept projects, demonstrating innovative solutions and technical expertise Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and operations Communicate technical vision and roadmap to stakeholders, both technical and non-technical Other

Qualifications
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. 4+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on distributed systems, high-scale engineering, and cloud computing In-depth knowledge of distributed systems design principles, scalability patterns, and high-availability architectures Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. Problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to debugging and performance optimization Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in agile teams and leading technical discussions Desire to exceed what our customers ask of us Passion for contributing to the team culture

Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
