Description
Within AI Platform, the Azure AI Search team powers rich search experiences for apps of all kinds. Integrates the best of Microsoft AI for content understanding, search relevance and more.We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. This role involves architecting and scaling the API and web service components that powers the Azure AI Search. You'll work with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions that drive innovative AI-powered search experiences.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications (RQs/MQs)Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.3+ years of experience designing and implementing features for customer-facing distributed cloud systems. Experience in successfully delivering features into large-scale engineering projects, ensuring high-quality code integration and system reliability.
Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs)
Bachelor's Degree in Computer ScienceOR related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript,OR PythonOR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.Experience with cloud-based web service backends, ASP.NET framework, authentication and REST API design is highly desirable. Experience with cloud computing architectures and services (Microsoft Azure, AWS or GCP) is highly desirable.Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
